A treat for the Team and their families/partners – our annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon, this year with a twist – we had our weekly meeting at the hotel before lunch and then enjoyed each others company for a couple of hours. Unfortunately with champagne on arrival, it meant the more traditional meeting coffees were passed over for the more appealing sparkling flute of deliciousness!
We loved the flower wall, but could only fit a few of the team in front of it at a time. Lots of photos below though! We enjoyed the menu with something for everyone and it was lovely to support a local hotel after the challenging year these businesses have endured.
Moni won both sweeps, pure luck with no skill at all because Janice allocated the horses randomly, but still, that was likely an annoying outcome for the group!
It was a light hearted meeting, ultimately abandoned as hotel patrons arrived and any meeting order was thwarted by the noisy end of the table! Still, there was enough of an opportunity for the regular competition between Shane and Stephen for the weekly accolades, and our statistical report confirmed that we remain at half the industry standard days on market. This is a result that we have maintained throughout the Covid-19 challenges. To hold a position of 50% less days on market than the industry standard is evidence of our teams commitment to their Investors. This vacancy rate saves Investors money, and at times this amount has been equal to over two weeks rent. It’s an astonishing result for a team with a portfolio from the Barossa to the Fleurieu, through the Adelaide Hills and all along the coast. It proves that irrespective of the location of the investment property we achieve better results.
A huge thank you to our entire team for taking time out from their busy lives to spend a few hours together, enjoy a meal and a couple drinks, and build on the relationships that we have. It was our absolute pleasure to host this event and we have big plans for 2022, so to existing team members and new team members – save the date because next years Melbourne Cup Lunch will be epic! In the mean time we have our Landlords Appreciation Evening, Christmas Golf Function, Gingerbread House Making Family Fun Day for the Team, and our Hampers for Tenants wrapping day, all coming up in the next few weeks.
